We are excited to announce that both locations are back up and running for private agility lessons!
Agility is a fun sport that combines athleticism, speed, and accuracy of both handler and dog. At Peak Performance, we work with teams who are just starting their venture in agility, as well as seasoned teams looking to improve their timing, handling techniques, or obstacle performance. We focus on positive training techniques, as we want both dogs and handlers to enjoy their time playing agility. Whether you have aspirations of national events or as just looking for a fun day out with your dog, we have a class for you!
Agility Foundation Fundamentals: This 8 week class is geared towards dog/handler teams who are just starting out in agility. It is aimed towards teaching the foundation skills that are necessary to pursue agility training. This class is geared towards dogs of all ages, as no full height equipment is utilized. Dogs entering this class should have a reliable recall, sit, stay, and down.
Beginners Agility Class: This 8 week class is geared towards dog/handler teams who have completed Foundation Fundamentals and want to continue their agility training. In this class, dogs will work towards learning all of the agility obstacles and how to include those obstacles in small sequences.
Intermediate Agility Class: This 8 week class is geared towards dog/handler teams who have completed the basic agility class and are proficient at all obstacles. This class will focus on the basic handling techniques needed to get dogs through short agility courses. Dogs who successfully complete this class will be ready to enter agility trials at the beginner/novice level.
Masters Agility Class: This 8 week class is geared towards dog/handler teams who are currently competing in agility and working towards the masters level. Teams will run masters level sequences and work on improving their handling techniques and timing. Teams will also learn some of the more advanced handling techniques. Dogs successfully completing this class will be ready to enter agility trials in the masters level.
Private lessons: Private lessons can be geared towards any level dog/handler team and can be scheduled at your convenience. Each session can be 30 or 60 minutes depending on your preference. In each private lesson we will work on skills that focus on your dog's specific needs. This can include but are not limited to obstacle performance, handling techniques, or timing.
